WHEN CLOCK STARTED TO TICK

INTRODUCTION

A. The Book of Genesis
·        The first verse of the first chapter of the first book of the Bible
·        The book of Genesis is the book of beginnings (Origin)
·        The first three words “in the beginning is the title of the book – Bereshit”
·        The word “BEGINNING” is important word because:
o   It expresses the existence of time
o   It tells us also that time does not exist before
o   And before the time exist – there is God
§  If you will ask me when God exist? – Time is greater than God
o   Time is not coexistent with God – Time has its beginning but God has no beginning
§  Therefore God exist when time does not exist yet
o   God is beyond time
§  Therefore God has no past, nor present nor future
§  Our life is within the vastness and greatness of God’s eternity

Title: When Clock Started to Tick

II. BODY

The 4 Realizations When Time Began

1. The Execution of God’s Plan
·        Before the existence of time – God has a plan (Single Complete Plan) – No Contingency Plans
o   He has a plan of creation because He has a plan of salvation – 1Peter 1:20; Ephesians 1:4
·        And when the clock started to tick – The execution of His plan has started
o   The plan of creation, fall, of every detail even the fall of the little bird, salvation, preaching the Gospel to advance the kingdom, persecution and tribulation, glorification, judgment, first coming and second coming and restoration,  and whatever may come to pass is part of one complete plan of God
·        Discrediting the Deism
o   God after creating everything left everything to the creatures.
o   FYI – God includes Himself within time – The Divine Interventions – The God who became man
Challenge: People strongly insist his own plan against God’s plan by not giving attention to His written will. If we
know that at the very beginning, that whatever is happening to us is part of God’s plan why do we act like
Job as if he wanted to tell God what to do.
Application: God does not want us to complain – (Learn from the complain in the wilderness – we are like them)
But in whatever situations in we must trust Him (1Peter 1:6-7;1Thess.5:18; Job 1:21)

We must acknowledge Him in every situation knowing that it is His plan – not to harm us but prosper us

2. The Existence of God’s Creation
·        When the clock of God started to tick – the creation also exist
o   For without time there is no creation
o   Time – Heavens - Earth
·        Ex Nihilo
o   Creation is from out of nothing
o   There is no raw materials when God created time, heavens and earth
o   The word nothing does not exist – before creation all in all is God therefore there is such thing as nothing – it is either physical or spiritual
·        Creation is Self-Projection of God
o   Four times God said “and it was good” and after He finished creating – “And It Was Very Good”
o   Creation tells that there is God (The Fool say to His heart “There is no God” – Psalms 14:1;53:1)
o   There are three creation in humanity
§  The first creation – in the image of God but because of sin of Adam we are also tainted with
sin but human must conform to the image of God
§  Regeneration – new creation but because of sinful nature in us through our body
§  Glorification – new creation of spirit will have a new body and the conformity to God’s image
             will be forever and ever
Note: John 17
Challenge: When clock started to tick, God’s creation exists to project God’s image.
Since we are the new creation of God we must project the image of God in us – Christ-likeness is our goal
And the completion of these is our glorification in Christ Jesus to project God’s image in us forever

3. The Exaltation of God’s Being
·        When the clock of God started to tick creation exists and God exalts His being as God through His creation
·        The Declaration of His Glory and His Righteousness
·        The Deliverance of Creation from Corruption
·        The Distinction Between Creator and Creation
o   Creation is visible while Creator is invisible
o   Creation is measurable but Creator is immeasurable
o   Creation has beginning while Creator has no beginning
o   Creation is changing but Creator does not change
o   Creation cannot sustain itself but God can sustain
§  The laws of nature is the law given by God – that’s why God defy nature when there’s a miracle. (Colossians 1:17)
Challenge : We are God’s creation and let God exalts His being as God in us. (Ephesians 2:10). Let our distinction with
                     God gave us humility.

4. The Expression of God’s Love

·        When the clock started to tick, the love of God is being expressed.
o   The very act of God is love.
o   The very fact is that God has prepared for man before He created them
o   The providential power of God
·        The Expression of God’s love in His Daily Provision
o   He alone can provide
o   He alone can attend to our needs according to the riches of His glory
o   He alone knows what we need on that day
o   To Him alone we can pray for our petitions (Philippians 4:6)
o   He knows our need,
·        The Expression of God’s love in Giving His Son for Salvation
o   God does not start the history for man to be lost forever without Savior
o   He provided a Savior before the foundation of the world
§  The plan to send His Son to suffer and die for the salvation of men is before the time tick and when the clock started to tick the love of God is expressed – Remember Jesus is firstborn among the creation (Colossians 1:15)
Challenge: Our Physical and Spiritual Needs are started to realize when the clock started to tick. We are recipients of

God’s love. Go back to the Source of everything in prayer... ask and seek and knock
